Networking isn’t just socializing! or is it?
Before I begin on my rant, i just have to say that I LOVE this logo for SNaP Women’s Network in Fort Collins, CO. Leave it to those cool cats in CO to have the trendy networking logos! Fantastic!
OK, now back to it-
I have had recent experience with those from the outside that just view “networking” alongside an excuse to just get out and socialize. The fact is, that if you enjoy your job, your business, that socializing and networking might just be the same thing.
That is not to confuse having wine with the girls at 4 in the after noon with networking, but that meeting new people on a regular basis, daily or weekly, might just be the best thing for your business yet! And not to mention your social skills!
So, my recommendation? Do it and do it often. The more the better. But before you get all into the Networking buzz, have your spill ready so that when you introduce yourself and people ask the inevitable question of “so what do you do?” you can be confident in telling them just that.
Now when I say spill, I dont mean a 2 hour presentation, just 1 or 2 specific lines to get them interested. Be direct and to the point! “I help people reduce illnesses and lead happier lives through custom holistic diet plans.”
There, said and done. And I bet you have started a whole new conversation just with that one little sentence. And chances are, if they aren’t directly interested themselves, they know someone who is.
So, that is my tip of the day. Network often, but not without your tagline!
Working Women for a Better World! gotta start somewhere!

Hey Ladies! If you aren’t a member of ArmyOfWomen.org I encourage you to go to the site and sign up now. It’s Free and you have the ability to contribute to the search for a cure for breast cancer.
They are performing different studies in every ethnicity, lifestyle, relationship status, and age to see what they can unveil.
I would especially recommend it if you have had a mother, sister, aunt, daughter, or even friend diagnosed with breast cancer. Go to the site by clicking the image above and they will explain it all to you and how you can be a part. You do not have to participate in any of the studies, but it is a very good way to keep updated on the fight.
Thumbs up from Working Women for a Better World!
